Rosalie resides in Sarasota, Florida and has studied art in California,
Massachusetts, Florida, England, and France. She has completed several
Master Classes with Mary Towsey in Vetheuil and Giverny, France and
workshops with well known artist Max Muller, Frank Webb and Frank Francese.
She continuously studies art and tries new styles. Her still life,
landscape and animal watercolor portraitures are portrayed in soft
colorful realism and rich detail and texture. Rosalie also works with pen
and ink and rice paper-watercolor collages.
 Rosalie’s
paintings have been, and continue to be, commissioned and exhibited
in businesses and homes throughout the United States and Europe,
as well as local galleries, restaurants and the Towles Court
Artist Colony where she had her own gallery, “The Rosalie Silver
Gallery”, for seven years. At the gallery she had several
one woman exhibitions with titles like The French Connection,
Fur and Feathers, and Treasures from the Palette.
She also represented other artists, served on the governing
board and as Tour Director at the Colony. Her work has
been accepted in several juried shows and she has been recognized
in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, The Longboat Observer, the Pelican
Press, Sarasota Downtown and Beyond, and Woman to Woman.
Her commissioned paintings were used on both the 2003 and 2005
covers of Palm Pages, “The Island to Island Directory”,
which was delivered to 50,000 homes, businesses and visitors
centers on Sarasota’s keys and beaches.
