2012 - the end of the Mayan "Long
count" Calendar. Why not make this the year to
accomplish great things?! We've already attained
phenomenal success this past December raising funds for
our Student Awards. With Alice Moerk as Chairperson, the
committees are planning a fabulous Incentive Awards
Program.
This is our golden opportunity to
encourage local area students in pursuing their dreams
in the arts and to provide extra inspiration. Plan on
attending and supporting the program March 21 at Laurel
Oaks Country Club.
But we also need you at our monthly
meetings. What better way to sit and chat and find out
what we've been doing? Or not doing?! (Frankly, I've
been having a hard time sitting down to paint, and I'll
bet there are a few members in this same dilemma.) So,
let's do lunch! Brown-bag or otherwise. See you soon! We
have plenty of things planned...see below. |
February 8th
Bird Key Yacht Club 11:30 am:
Our program will feature Ron McCarty, Curator and Keeper of Ca d’Zan;
John and Mable Ringling’s legacy, 100 years in Sarasota,
Then and Now.
March 21st:
Awards Luncheon at LaurelOaks (more information to follow).
April 11th:
Annual Business Meeting
Bring a brown bag lunch to Ken Thompson Parkway; join us at the
picnic tables on Sarasota Bay.
|
For all Brown Bag lunch meetings, please pay $5 at the
meeting to help defray costs. |
